- Get cold or hot – It might sound simple but placing a cold pack or frozen bag of peas on the areas that hurt could lessen the pain of a migraine. Additionally, taking a cool shower or enjoying a slushing drink can provide relief. On the flipside, if you have a tension/sinus headache, taking a warm shower or placing a heating pad on your neck, back or sinus area can provide relief.
